Job description.The incumbent will be responsible to implement the social mobilization approach of programmes in line with IRP strategy to empower communities in the target areas, especially women and children, so that they are more aware about their entitlements including social, economic and rights. The CDO will also support IRPs advocacy interventions which aim to ensure general communities (especially women and children) in the areas are able to live in an environment in which their rights are protected. Conduct broad based community meetings (BBCM) / stake holders workshop at community levelConduct needs assessment / base line / surveys for data collection in the defined project areasIdentification & prioritization of most vulnerable / marginalized villages through PRA tools. Initial contacts & programme introduction of project in the targeted villageFormation, revitalization, strengthening of village / community development committees / organizations by ensuring inclusion of all segments of society on sustainable basis.Responsible for signing term of partnership (TOP) with committees (Cos/ VOs / LSO).Identification & prioritization of the most pressing needs of the communities through PRA tools (issues prioritization).Conduct regular meetings with community organizations for raising awareness about their entitlement i.e. social, economic & rights.Capacity building of communities in terms of development of new proposals, CMST, LMST / refreshers / exposure visits, advocacy planning and campaigning etc.Motivating the communities for the monthly contribution of  saving schemesFacilitate & support other sectoral leads at ground in need identification / prioritization & verification of the project interventions / activities.

Collecting and recording data such as age, race, marital status, number of children, income levels, etc.
Maintaining confidentiality when collecting sensitive information such as health status or criminal records
Conducting interviews with respondents to collect information about their experiences with various products or services
Recording data from surveys or questionnaires on paper forms or computer tablets for statistical analysis
Identifying potential respondents through telephone surveys to gauge interest in participating in a study
Explaining study procedures to respondents to ensure that they understand the process
Collecting information about respondents’ education level, occupation, and other demographic factors
Recruiting new participants for studies by explaining study details over the phone or in person
Interviewing participants after the study has been completed to obtain feedback regarding the quality of the experience

 

Contributes towards the overall goal and objectives of the organization
Conduct hygiene promotion sessions focusing on proper hand washing, safe excreta disposal, safe household water management, latrine usage and other key hygiene messages through home to home visits, group discussions/community meetings, information campaigns, targeting community and key community members (religious leaders, elders etc.) to promote good hygiene practices and discourage bad practices
Together with other staff members, facilitate and organize training for community Volunteers on basics of hygiene and key health activities
Liaise with the community focal person, Religious Leaders, Community Influential/Leaders, in the area
Together with communities, ensure mobilization of the communities as appropriate for participation in planning, construction, operation and maintenance of WASH facilities and services
Support community in conducting Camp cleaning campaigns
Contribute in promoting effective use of latrines and safe water usage
Support other teams during Distribution of hygiene, dignity, and winterization kits (where required)
Distribution and positioning of IEC materials
Take part in the selection, designing, pre-testing, developing, dissemination, and evaluation of appropriate hygiene educational material for effective hygiene promotion
Compile and ensure timely submission of monthly reports and health and hygiene sessions record
Follow and ensure that gender, protection, local culture, and other important cross-cutting concerns are considered in program implementation, and reporting
May require to perform other related duties assigned by supervisor as per organization set standards

Update  and  analyze  campaigns/HH  data  at  district  as  well  as  union  council  levels.  Identify problems/inaccuracy  in data files and  inform  the  supervisor  enable  timely  corrections     Assist  in  getting  campaign/HH  coverage  data  from  all  districts  and  its  timely  compilation  and sharing  with  the  provincial  and  federal  offices.   Maintain and  update  a  proper  computerized information  system  of campaign/HH  data.     Properly  check  the  data  entry  status and  find  out  different  discrepancies  and  further  sharing with relevant  authority  (Manager/Project  Manager).   To ensure  accurate  and  timely  entry  of data  into  the  database.   Support  the promotion  of  data protection  within  the  Organization     Facilitate  field  team  and  project  Manager  in  data  analysis, and  writing  different reports.   Arranging Orientation/Training  Sessions for Field  Colleagues  regarding  Data  Quality  and  Audit, to  maintain  office  records  and  files with audit standards.     Regular share updated information  to  the  Project  head  on  regular  project  updates.   Organize n  for  the  different  reports  and organization  future  needs.   Archiving  of  Projects  reports, photos, documentaries,  databases  etc. by  cataloging  and Organizing  for  easy  accessibility.   To ensure  proper  filing  of hard  data, tagged  with  standard  format.   Provide  full  administrative  support  to  the  Program  Drafts,  reviews  correspondence,  Takes notes  at  meetings.   Establish and  maintain  electronic and  hard  copies filing  system  of  the  technical  unit.
